JANE AMMESON is a freelance writer who specializes in travel, food and personalities. Her work appears frequently in the Chicago Life Magazine, AAA Home & Away and Chicago Tribune, as well as other newspapers and magazines. Her recent articles include stories on Mitch Albom, Robert Duvall, Jane Seymour, Blair Underwood, Meryl Streep and Morgan Freeman. Ammeson likes historic travel, out of the way locations, taking an unusual look at everyday destinations and exploring the culinary heritage of the places she visits.
J. KEVIN FOLTZ is the staff photographer for HCP/Aboard Publishing. A graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Florida, Foltz has traveled the Caribbean extensively, shooting photography for American Eagle's Latitudes, Experience Puerto Rico, Experience St. Maarten/St. Martin, Experience the British Virgin Islands, and Experience Curaçao, among other publications. An award-winning photographer, his culinary, lifestyle and destination images capture the beauty of this island paradise.
LENA KATZ travels around the world writing about destinations, food, spirits and relationships for everyone from Disney to Zagat to The Wall Street Journal to CLICK! magazine (syndicated onto MSN). Her base camp is two blocks from the beach in Los Angeles' gorgeous South Bay.
GARY LEE is a veteran travel writer at The Washington Post with a journalism career spanning more than 27 years. Since 1997, Lee has profiled over 60 foreign countries and 40 U.S. states for the Post's Travel section. He's written about subjects as diverse as the neighborhoods of Shanghai, China, and the storied South American cities of Salvador, Brazil; Cuzco, Peru; and Santiago, Chile. Lee has also visited and written about a dozen different Caribbean islands.
GEORGE OXFORD MILLER is an environmental photojournalist who seeks out destinations that offer authentic cultural and unspoiled nature experiences. From his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he travels the Caribbean and Latin America with the philosophy that the world is a village and we should get to know our neighbors. American Eagle's Latitudes, Southwest Airlines' Spirit, National Wildlife and Sierra Club publications, and metropolitan newspapers in the U.S. and Canada carry his travel articles. He has published seven nature and travel guidebooks and two photo essay books.
MICHELLE RODENBURG was born in St. Maarten to a Dutch father and a Curaçaoan mother. She earned her degree at the prestigious International Institute for Hospitality Management, the Hotelschool in The Hague. After having lived and worked in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe she returned to her "roots" in the Caribbean and settled in Curaçao where she has been living for the last 3 years. She is currently working for a local Dutch newspaper and is a freelance translator.
JIM SCHEINER, a scuba instructor since 1975, has logged almost 10,000 dives worldwide, usually with camera in hand. A well-known photojournalist, he specializes in underwater, aerial, yachting and lifestyle photography. Through his studio at Rainbow Visions Photography in the BVI, he takes great pleasure in capturing the beauty and romance of a visiting couple's island wedding.
