Heineken Regatta

The fourth annual Heineken Regatta Curacao took place November 11 - 13, 2011.

After three successful editions, the Heineken Regatta Curaçao is now in its fourth year, and celebrated the sailing season's opening on November 11, 12 and 13, 2011.

In 2011, the fourth edition took place with even more fun, entertainment and action. Team 'DASH' was the overal winner of the regatta — their extraordinary race skills led them to win the Girobank cup and the prize money.

The Dutch brand Heineken, which needs no introduction among sailing circles, signed on to assure 10 years of regattas. Patterned after the Sint Maarten Heineken Regatta, the Curaçao organizers adopted the slogan "real different" to help create their own identity. Local sailing experts, assisted by an international judge, take care of the sailing part, and anything that floats can participate. There will be an option to charter boats.

The Curaçao Sailing Festival Foundation carries out the fun-and-games part, arranging performances by famous singers and bands and many other activities around St. Anna Bay. The iconic Handelskade makes a magnificent backdrop for this fun race.
